Musical Theatre Workship

Guido Contini is a famous film director/actor/singer/Casanova who is about to reach his breaking point. In order to try and escape his problems (a dissolving marriage, constant and complicated affairs, mounting work pressure, mid-life crisis, etc.), he goes to a spa in Venice with his wife, seeking privacy (read: a place to hide) and inspiration.  Flashbacks reveal the substance of his life which will become the material for his next film. But in the meantime, his world is falling apart. Composer Maury Yeston takes Frederico Fellini's masterpiece film 8 1/2 and turns it into an essay on the power of women. Nine reveals that they are wives, mistresses, muses, and more.

Performances on January 30 and February 1.
